Linley Watson from Spark Magazine wrote great article about Mentoring.
She said that traditionally, mentoring has been an informal, internal relationship between someone older and more experienced, and a more junior person in the organisation.
She also mention that in organisations, the terms “coaching” and “mentoring” are often used interchangeably without a clear understanding of how they differ. Time and again, people ask for coaching but what they want is mentoring.
